Excellent connection by T-Mobile! Cheapest Sim Card. I choose "Prepaid Pay As You Go" plan, so that I need to pay only $3 monthly with free 30 minutes or 30 messages and thereafter flat rate of $0.10 per min/msg. No annual Contract. When we need to recharge, go online and use debit or credit card for payment (here you can choose "auto payment" by saving your credit/debit or bank details or "uncheck" save card or bank details online for manual payment. Minimum recharge amount is $10.
how to setup sim card for first use
1. After getting your sim card, check the sim card validity. Activate before the sim card validity expires. Go to this link for activation [...] 2. Find your 19-digit SIM number on the plastic card that holds your SIM card.
3. Check your 15-digit serial number (IMEI) on the inside of your device’s battery compartment or by dialing *#06# from your phone
4. Your 11-to-12-digit Activation Code is located on the Activation Card included in the package with your device/SIM.
5. Then choose your plan. If you choose "pay as you go plan" then recharge for $10 for 3 months validity. You can use your debit/credit/bank. You can see that $3 is deducted for the current month and balance $7 will be shown in your account. Check your T-Mobile balance by dialing #225# from your mobile. Go to this link for Prepaid Pay As You Go Plan[...]
6. Now you can start using your new number. Good Luck.
Used this SIM card to transfer my home number to T-Mobile to subsequently transfer it to google voice* and use in conjunction with OBi device (OBi200 VoIP Phone Adapter, T.38 Fax) and never to pay for the home phone ever again.
*google voice only transfers in mobile numbers.
Using one of these in an old bar phone to keep as an emergency phone. T-Mobile (for now) will allow you to keep a phone active on a pay-per-minute plan for only $3/month. No one else has anything similar. Make sure you turn on content blocking so you get fewer spam calls and texts. This plan is very limited.
Nice that T-Mobile has such a wide variety of plans, including limited ones. Also, the T-Mobile network supports old 2G non-smart phones that you would otherwise throw away. You'll find this SIM will work in a lot more devices than the competition's SIMs.
This is probably the best deal you'll get on a T-Mobile nano sized SIM (other than the occasional free ones directly from T-Mobile). In the box you get the nano SIM of course, along with two nano SIM card adapters all for just $5 (at the time of this review, 2/13/15)! The two adapters are: nano to standard size SIM, and a nano to micro size SIM. They're made of a black durable plastic that resembles the highly rated Sadapter Three Adapter Pack - Retail Packaging - Black found here: http://www.amazon.com/Sadapter-Three-Adapter-Pack-Packaging/dp/B00EOABX5S
I was currently using a micro sized SIM in my iPhone 4s and wanted to change it to a nano size SIM since I like switching phones every few days. I used the included nano to micro SIM adapter and the fitment was perfect in my iPhone 4s! (It worked well in my Nexus 4 too) I will now be purchasing this kit in the future if I need additional adapters: $5 for a nano SIM and two adapters compared to $15 for a nano SIM from the T-Mobile website without any adapters. The only thing missing in this kit compared to the SAdapter three pack kit is that this T-Mobile SIM Starter Kit does not include the micro to standard size adapter. You're covered though since a nano to standard adapter is included (assuming that you're already using the nano SIM).
Changing SIM cards couldn't be any easier. The inside flap of the box states that if you're on a postpaid plan such as the Simple Choice Plan, you would need to call and speak with someone from T-Mobile customer care to make the switch. You actually could just call the dedicated SIM card activation line at 1-877-234-4299 and enter or speak your SIM card number to the automated machine and have the switch done in minutes without having to wait for a live representative.
Couldn't recommend this enough! A definite 5 stars!
UPDATE 4/9/15:
Was able to try the nano SIM along with the adapters in several more phones/tablets (some of which I own, some from friends/family) and they worked/fit well:
- iPhone 3G
- iPhone 5
- iPhone 6 Plus
- Amazon Fire Phone
- OnePlus One (both nano and micro SIM trays)
- Nexus 5
- Nexus 6
- Nexus 7 tablet (for fitment)
- iPad 3rd generation tablet (for fitment)
UPDATE 8/11/15:
Nano SIM and adapters are still working perfectly! For those frugal shoppers out there, keep checking Amazon as well as the T-Mobile website. They recently ran a promotion for this exact same kit for $0.99 using the promo code SIM99. Was able to pick up a few more to switch my entire family over to Nano SIM cards. This will hopefully future-proof us from having to buy another SIM card for a while until they come up with an even smaller one? :)
Still highly recommended!
I will forever be a T-Mobile customer! They have a prepaid plan that comes with 5GB of 4G data, unlimited text, and 100 minutes. Since I barely ever call anyone, this plan saves me a ton of money! And even if I do go over my minutes, it's only 10 cents a minute which still makes this plan cheaper than the other options. And additionally, T-Mobile users get unlimited Spotify and Pandora streaming! I will use about 3 GB of streaming of Spotify data alone, so that not counting toward my data usage is a major plus! And who could ever forget T-Mobile Tuesdays? It's exciting getting freebies from T-Mobile every week :) T-Mobile for life!

I upgraded to a new phone which requires a nano sim card. I didn't want to pay the crappy $25 activation fee in T-Mobile store to get a new sim card, especially when it only cost a couple cents to manufacture. So I bought the sim card online at Amazon instead. I talked to T-Mobile support on their website's chatroom. 15 minutes later, including wait-time, I got the sim card activated.
My plan is post-paid, of which I'm not the primary account holder as it is a family plan paid by my family. The hardest part of the process was deciding whether or not to buy this pre-paid plan sim card and hope that T-Mobile will activate it for me regardless. Obviously the gamble paid off.
If you can afford waiting a couple days for shipping and plan to buy something else on Amazon to get that free shipping option, save yourself $15 dollars and buy this sim card.
The sim starter kit has everything you need to get your tmobile cell active. I bought an unlocked phone on Amazon, used this sim card and activation code included and was good to go. There are 3 sizes to fit your cell which is great, I was a little worried because I didn't check the size out before I ordered but there was one that fit my phone. The only downside to this product, is that one of the reasons I ordered this tmobile starter kit rather than other sellers- is that it promises a $25 Amazon gift card when activated. I didnt receive this. I contacted customer service and they just sent me another kit. Well I still need the gift card I was promised? Anyway, this is a great kit- it has everything you need. I would have gave it 5 strs, but as i said above I didnt receive all that was promised in my order.
I ordered this to work on with a 4G LTE hotspot or tablet. SIM CARD comes complete with 3-1 kit so you punch out size sime you need. No adapter required. I use device that needs standard size sim. At same time I added a line to my TM One plan (with auto pay) so my line after discount is $20/month. INew phone number and unknown device showed up right away and device light showed sim was connected to TM One but I got error msg that my plan does not work with device. BS. I did chat via phone with TM One support.
My unlocked device worked after reboot and double check with TM One tech as I found no place to provide IMEI # of device. Not sure after my chat with tech support on TM One if that worked but device does now work great but at only 3G, not 4G LTE speeds. LED on device show 3G only.
Works for prepaid or post paid plan. I use it because I travel out of the country and t-mobile is the only US carrier I can find that gives you free texting whilst out of the U.S.
the sim is able to be used in various sizes. I use micro for the iphone7.
T- mobile sells this same thing for $20 in the stores that I have been to.
Was hesitant to buy after reading some reviews saying they would not activate but im glad i still gave it a try because they work just fine, you just have to do it right. I bought mine to activate a TMobile Sidekick XL, the phone is technically not supported anymore so dont even try to activate the phone, skip the phone activation and activate the SIM card without a phone, pick a plan, they start at $3 a month, which is insane, then once the SIM card is activated pop it in the phone and you are all done. Your phone will tell you that data is no longer supported on an old 3G phone but you can still call and text from it. Check your 3G coverage first in your area if you are also interested in bringing a classic 3G phone back to life lol
