Fits GoPro Hero 6 perfectly, with no misalignments or leaks. I treated the dome with water repellent before using to minimize water spots that can ruin photos, and I’m careful to rinse with fresh water after a day out in salt water. I love the photos I’ve gotten with the dome in Aruba and Bahamas. It is bulky and I don’t take on all my trips, but it is great for tropical vacations with lots of beach time!! I don’t use the trigger handle; I have my default mode as 2sec interval photos, and it is easy to turn on and hit record the old-fashioned way even in the dome case (even while snorkeling).
Item arrived as described. We tried at our pool last week and the photos and videos turned out great. I might need to put some water repellent on the dome but other than that, I think it works great.
I'd you use the right settings necessary for this kind of photography it works great. Saved some money by buying this instead of the more expensive option.
Helps make sweet shots with your GoPro. Use burst mode and submerge the dome more than you think you should.
The dome works as advertised and enables you to take interesting shots that are both above and below the water, all in focus. The handle is good for swimming and a longer pole is required for some shots, but all of this is made easy with the standard GoPro connectors. The only issue is that the screws do need to be tightened a great deal out of the box or the dome leaks which causes blurriness of shots. The kit does include a wrench to do this but why isn't the dome fully locked down out of the box? In addition even when tightened all around to the point where I was concerned tightening any more might crack the edges it still leaked a little bit past the gasket. Not a major issue but still notable.
