Nikon 8x42 ProStaff 3S Binocular (Black)

Ok, Im no expert at binoculars, so I tried out several, even went to a local sporting goods store, and almost fell over when I saw the prices, really $3200 for a pair of bino's, mind you, they were nice, but not $3100 more nice then these Nikons. These are a nice weight, the eye cups twist to adjust, easy to focus and have a nice bright view. Now I tried many brands and several powers, even zoom, I settled on these cause they seem to be good all around, wether bird watching, site seeing , or checking out the night sky. Now the lens caps are not much to talk about, but I dont even use them, I like the way the strap on the Bino's is dual porpose, ( no strap on case) , so i just keep them in the case without the lens caps. In my opinion, I dont think you could find a better pair of bino's at 10 times the price, and although I wouldn't want to lose these, it surely wouldn't hurt as bad as losing a $3200 set.. Just try them, Im sure you wont be disappointed. Highly recommend.... I like these so much, I'm even thinking of trying the same in the 10x42 power....

Took these to Antarctica and Baja and they were excellent. I'm short and small and found their light weight excellent. I won't drag around anything big that might be more of an interference with travel than an aid. I found the optics to be excellent but I'm no expert.

These binoculars do everything as advertised. No complaints about function, design, grip, etc. Minor issue: the lens covers are a bit inconvenient, although they work well. The excellent eye relief is a big plus for anyone wearing glasses!

Great treestand nock around bino. Use for michigan bow hunting. Inexpensive so you don't have to feel married to them!! Light weight. I have the 8 x 42. I would have given 5 star but te lens cover design is terrible. Surprised i havent lost then yet. Good purchase for $119

Very nice binocs, very bright, easy to focus with good eye relief. I have not tried them yet in foggy or wet weather so I will have to see how well they work when that time comes. The only criticism I have is the lens caps are not great, they are easy to misplace and I have already lost one.

My husband ABSOLUTELY LOVES THEM!!! he uses them for everything. I thought he would just use them for backyard deer watching but no. He spots deer on the mountain at least 4 or 500 yards if he had to guess. But it is probably further. I cant get him to put them down. He said they are by far the best binos he has ever had and he takes them hunting with him too. He Carrie's them around his next. Says they are very lightweight. Best gift I could have bought him.

Good clear image. Close focus is not as close as indicated (3'), but at about 5 feet it is what we need. Focus works well and is fast to focus. These are used for birding.

Recently purchased prior to a Hawaii trip. Was looking for quality and value, these delivered both. Light weight and easy to store. Worked great for whale watching. I have struggled in the past with binoculars due to seeing 2 images at once. These binoculars made it easy to pull the images together as one for better viewing.

When you go from a $20-$30 compact pocket 8X25 binocular to the next step up in optics . . . what a difference.
LOL . . . If I wasn't such a cheapskate I'd like to try out the $300+ binos.
I would have given it a 5 Star as I was hoping to find the better optics in a smalerl compact size.

I have had a lot of fun with these. After moving close to a wildlife protected area, I wanted to enjoy the variety of birds in our neighborhood. These are not super-light weight, but light enough to wear without fatiquing my neck. High quality glasses
