Bought to use with AT&T OTR plan. Unit was definitely new. Works great. Has 2 ts9 antenna connectors, while original did not. You choose 5g or 2.4g setup, but not both simultaneously. Has VPN pass thru. 4 stars because you must connect via wifi - there is no Ethernet or USB port.
I use it on 5g, with a $30 Tenda AC1200 connected to it via WISP. This provides a strong signal subnetwork throughout the entire house, on both 2.4g and 5g simultaneously, with no connection limitations.
Perfect for home or travel, as long as you use AT&T, and can get a signal strength of -105dbm or better with either internal or external antennas.
I like the portability, it’s small and compact. It fits right into my purse. The battery life is great & I like that up to three devices can be connected at the same time. I travel a lot and being able to stay connected to family & friends is very important to me. This device allows me to stay in touch; to me it’s worth it.
I was surprised with how good this device worked. Simple set up. All I did was put my sim card in and that was it. I have it connected to my Xbox one, Roku tv, cell and tablet. The only negative thing I could say is that yes, with all those connected and in use
devices at once will drain the battery on the hot spot. Usually just have the cell and tv connected and in use the hot spot will last at least 8-10 hours.
It's a overall great unit. Easy to use. I got this when it first came out so it was a little cheaper than, but still totally worth the price.
2 weeks in and it’s still going strong! Happy with easy setup, and recommend by a friend!!
we are travelers from Europe and bought this product and purchased Ultra mobile SIM card and it works great. It is as far as I found cheapest prepaid service. I can recommend, the battery is enough for one day when few iPhones were connected to it.

This unit was charged 70% out of the box, plugged in SIM card and instantly connected to internet. So much better than Unite Express. Highly recommended.
